PAHs - CHRONECT Workstation PAHs

Workstation PAHs

Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) constitute a large class of organic compounds that are composed of two or more fused aromatic rings. They are primarily formed by incomplete combustion or pyrolysis of organic matter. PAHs generally occur in complex mixtures which may consist of hundreds of compounds. Humans are exposed to PAHs by various pathways. Food can be contaminated from environmental sources, industrial food processing. Many of them are considered potentially carcinogenic.

Advantages of CHRONECT Workstation PAHs:

  • Ease of use: just put the sample into the PAL Rack
  • High sensitivity with an LOD 100 times lower than the MRL for baby food for benzo[a]pyrene
  • No consumables like SPE cartridges, no large solvent consumption
  • LC-LC clean-up
  • Extended maintenance intervals due to efficient clean-up
  • Excellent reproducibility
  • Expandable to further applications
