Transport of Vials on Robotic Sample Preparation Systems

The transport of vials on robotic sample preparation system is of crucial importance to access the modules during a workflow. Designed to streamline workflows and enhance productivity, the PAL offers several dedicated mechanisms for vial transport.

  • Most used is a magnetic pick-up of the regular vials with a metal crimp or screw cap.

  • Non-magnetic items are transferred to modules with a Gripper Tool.

  • Small items like the PAL System uSPE Cartridges can be moved between racks by syringe transport while attached to the needle.

A standardized automated workflow is suggested using a regular industry-standard x,y,z-robotic system for the individual derivatization steps at different reaction temperatures. The reagent addition, timing of the derivatization steps and analysis are controlled by the robotic system.
