Transport of Vials on Robotic Sample Prep Systems

PAL System offers several dedicated transport mechanism for vials. The transport of vials on robotic sample preparation system is of crucial importance to access the modules during a workflow.

  • Most used is a magnetic pick-up of the regular vials with a metal crimp or screw cap.

  • Non-magnetic items are transferred to modules with a Gripper Tool.

  • Small items like the PAL System µSPE Cartridges can be moved between racks by syringe transport while attached to the needle.

A standardized automated workflow is suggested using a regular industry-standard x,y,z-robotic system for the individual derivatization steps at different reaction temperatures. The reagent addition, timing of the derivatization steps and analysis are controlled by the robotic system.
